Is he going to dispute the olney report about the ultimatum?

Right now the facts are:
Braves offered 5/140 post lock out.
3/12 Genius told AA he had to accept 6/175 or 5/165 in 60 minutes b/c he has a huge dick
3/14 Olson is a brave
3/15 Olson signs for 8/168 while being 5 years younger than FF w/ very similar production in Oakland's huge park
3/17 FF signs with Dodgers 6/162, with 57 million deferred making the present day value to 6/148. LA taxes then eat in heavy.

So the Braves we offering 28 million a year for 5 years with no deferrals. He took 27 million a year with deferrals. Yes he got an extra year but will pay 10-12 million more in taxes if he was able to make Georgia his residence for tax purposes.

At 6/148 present value he's at less money.

His agent messed up. Not sure how you blame the Braves for this one.

I think the Braves offer was 5/135, then the ultimatum was given to AA, then AA offered 5/140, then the hour passed, then AA moved on.

Sounds to me like the agent issued time limit, then was shocked someone took that time limit seriously and moved on after it passed.

He played hardball, got bit, then had to pivot to a worse offer from the Dodgers.
 
Close is panicking when he should of just stayed quiet. I’m sure there’s a trail that shows Closes ultimatum to AA but AA would never show it. Dude looks like a clown right now.

If i'm not mistaken, there is still a home plate umpire behind home plate and some versions of this would allow the manager to challenge the call by having that home plate umpire make the call.

What do the Braves have to gain from this, exactly? They’ve clearly moved on way ahead of Freeman, and it’s not like this whole ordeal is affecting their ticket sales. In fact, they’re at an all-time high.

So, yeah, I could buy that the Braves are pulling the strings behind the scenes in order to save face. They’ve done it before. The problem is that there is nothing to save face about.
