Attendance

So we are seeing the 2nd year drop in attendance being compensated for by the team being competitive.

Excellent news for 2019 and beyond.

Don't forget the excitement from the infusion of young talent. A player like Acuna will definitely bring interest and put butts in the seats.

You can order a customized jersey with whatever you want, whenever you want. I had a #8 JUp jersey 3 days after the trade was announced.

You can have a Harper Braves jersey right now if you want...it doesn't have to be bought at the park...

Yep even at the stadium u can do that. My one and only trip to turner was the last week of the season and they were out of freeman jerseys, so went to the shop that customized jerseys and got Freeman 5. It didn't cost any extra that I recall.

random note, in college i worked at the eagles' stadium giving tours and on game days. we had a jersey print machine thing. it was fletcher cox's rookie year, so we didn't have his jersey in yet. he used to come in and have them made fairly frequently. and he would just stand over you and watch you make it. it was...intimidating.

I've saw the personalized jersey place at suntrust, but never asked how much. I bet it costs a pretty penny

Bought a 2T Braves jersey for my little monster. Prices were reasonable, but I don’t remember what the actual prices were. I just remember constantly thinking “not a bad price” on everything.

Broadcast said they announced it as the largest crowd in Suntrust history.

Was in the park and they said this and put it on the scoreboard

They sold more tickets to last nights game, but opening day '17 was more packed in terms of butts in the seats.

So, assuming that we stay flat or gain a little in attendence, what could we expect payroll to be for next year? The past few years we have bounced around 110-120 million. So could we possibly see a bump up to 130? Potentially higher, given the free agent market? Very good news moving forward whatever the number ends up being. If we are winning, Suntrust will be packed.

It might help us pay off our debt a little quicker, but the Braves will always disappoint just when you might expect them to reinvest in the on field product.

I see you deleted the “should’ve stated at Turner” conclusion; but this was always one part of the slimy implicit of the move, and shouldn’t come as a great surprise.

That “should have stayed at Turner” is loud and proud in the “Next year’s payroll” thread.

Damn: I responded to the wrong post.

This is what you get when you’re posting just to distract yourself from writing a thirty-page paper on Melville, Nabokov, and the baroque form in fiction.

If it’s any comfort I am doing the same to distract me from writing a (much smaller) results write up on the use of neural networks to derive the expected interest rates of peer to peer lending companies.

Enjoy the upcoming end to the semester.
