I'm gonna guess MLB would do business with Amazon, but not as a white knight for Bally. I think they'd prefer a quick but painful death for Bally in the next 2 1/2 months. And I'd be OK with that. I'm kind of disgusted with the way they've dropped teams in tranches as they became less profitable, hanging on to the rights until they're not profitable then including them in the bankruptcy action. It's chicken****. Take your medicine and let the teams move on and make their deals. In fact, maybe the teams should make their new deals and see what Bally wants to do about it. MLB has done everything but saw the plank they've stepped out on.
 
It would be more enticing if we could just get the games for free with the Prime subscription. Instead, looks like it'll be more nickel and diming to pay however much a month to Amazon/Bally, even when it isn't baseball season.

Curious how all this shakes out. Teams like the Mariners and Padres have had to shed payroll as their RSN deals are evaporating. Funny how the Braves, who had a ****ty TV deal for a long time, are now one of the last teams reaping in great rewards as this cash flow is starting to end. I hope MLB forces the Yankees and Dodgers to join this once Bally goes under. They can't be allowed to have their own network after what MLB did to Turner and the Braves.
 
So basically, Diamond Sports Group/Bally Sports had really their best day since the bankruptcy process began. So it seems quite obvious the Braves will have another year on Bally. But still, what happens after this season is still up in the air.
 
It's something that should happen with all sports. Pick you team, get your team games. None of this all or nothing crap.
