Barack Obama and Jason Heyward

You were the one talking about blowjobs.

I want to know how Obama has had an advantage no other president has? As you said. I look at the previous presidents and aside from Kennedy there's one thing that pulls through. White protestants. All of them. Kennedy was a white catholic. Obama is the only black president, while it grants him some advantages, it has granted him as many if not more disadvantages.

Let's start here, and then move forward: Do you think Obama would have achieved the Democratic nomination in 2008 had he been white?

If he ran that well, yes. Conversely would Hilary have made it as far as she was without being a woman? would a crazy old black man (say rent is too dam high guy) have done as much as Biden did?

Every President is intensely scrutinized. You are saying Obama has been scrutinized more because he's black? That's absurd.

Yes, he has. Bush wasn't criticized this bad during the start of his presidency as Obama was. Stop the rvisionist history.

Wait a second, you are saying that the guy who waltzed into office with one of the most compelling mandates to lead in the 21st century was criticized more than the guy whose election was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court?

yeah

no matter who was coming off the disaster of the republican party of George W Bush

it was a walk in the park

uh

this:

isn't a question

so

we might have figured out the problem

Ah, I thought you were referring to the original post of mine that you quoted because your second response was kind of ... illogical ... in the context of my response.

But if we're confusing the general election with the nomination process then I defer to a middle school social studies course.

LOL you don't think the (c)overtly racist right criticizes Obama more, partially because he's black? Are you insane?

Or are you gonna do a similar BS that you did when talking about how Bush lied?

Bush was also in office less than a year when 9/11 happened...I frankly don't remember the first 10 or so months of Bush vs the first 10 or so months of Obama, but once a national tragedy happens the magnitude of 9/11, the heat is going to come off the guy in office, no matter who he is. So yeah, I'd say Bush had the "less scrutinized" first term, but that was influenced by factors other than Obama being black (or mixed, or whatever... I haven't really followed this thread).

Obama was deemed the "next Jimmy Carter" before he knew how to unlock the bathroom in the Oval Office.

First Year Overview:
Bush dismissed reports of imminent attack from alQaida and of course there was Bush ties to ENRON. Cheney's energy commission where he and 3 or 4 oil execs decided our national Energy Policy. The whole election kur-fuffle and
9/11

Obama inherited the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression and 2 wars . One unprovoked the other a knee jerk reaction to a policing matter

I agree with ace's -- Bush first term was perhaps the least scrutinized first term since James Garfield. A combination of 9/11 and an incurious public
