Baseball mind of the year award.

Just doing some research and came across these old threads: link

niners is out because he predicted the rotation would be our biggest issue.

I was leaning toward zito until I saw this post from him:

BJ should be back to hitting, but comparing him tanking last year to Span tanking 4 years ago is foolish. There's a reason to be more reserved about Bossman than there is about SPan, because Bossman was atrocious last year. I think he'll bounce back

VirginiaBrave was quite negative and predicted our late season slump, but like niners was wrong that the rotation would struggle.

Right now I'm actually leaning toward millwood1hitter. I think most posters were way too optimistic about our chances last season. millwood was negative the whole time and his reasoning actually came to fruition. Unless a new nominee steps up to the plate I think we may have a winner.

My post was largely right. He did bounce back. Just not all the way back. From a 55 wRC+ to a 74. I thought closer to 90 admittingly, but I wasn't willing to bet on that by saying it aloud.

I very much appreciate the recognition and inclusion on the list, but definitely feel there are quite a few posters (both mentioned and not mentioned) who do more to contribute to the discussions and the entertainment provided by our little corner of the internets. While I'm certainly wrong as often as I'm right, I enjoy the banter and discussions as much as everyone else does and am just happy our leaders went to the trouble to establish the community following the crash of "Shanksville".

chop2chip is Rookie of the Year.

Like the Ichiro thing, he was in another big leagues (Scout) for a long time but didn't show up here until recently.
