BBB

All this emerges from a new report in the New York Times that illustrates the true nature of home-state cross-pressures on Manchin. He’s caught between the miners union and mine owners, who vehemently oppose BBB.

When are you gonna figure out that Machine is saving several democrats by taking the heat on BBB.

He is one of many who want nothing to do with it.

Dems should be thinking him

Coal miners will be fine once we get the communists out of office.

We will be back to being energy dominant.

You obviously didnt read the article ---

Or simply read anything

the world is shifting to renewable energy sources rapidly, coal does not fit
and we have known for decades this was changing.

So yeah, tell us what "energy dominant" even means

This point is totally irrelevant to the article posted.
But all the same, that doesn't seem to phase you

Coal is dying on its own. Automation is claiming so many coal jobs that even a resurgence wouldn’t help much.

Coal miners, and blue collar workers of all types, are far better under a Trump like administration than the trash we are seeing now.

i expect any second sturg breaks in with how useless masks are or tyranny or blah blah blah.

I find the rock and hard place Manchin finds himself in interesting.
Without taking sides

Map of high-speed rail network in Europe, 2022.

It is not completed so we don't know how California did.

How is that interstate hiway system coming along ?

Why do ****hole countries get to have affordable hi tech transportation systems and we are left with pothole filled roads, broken down airports and 19th century public transportation ?

Every major city should be interconnected with high speed elevated rail.

If I had a choice of say taking high speed rail from Boston to New Orleans or flying it would be nice for a viable option to that. But right there I just touched on one reason it won't happen, the power the airline industry holds over congress.

I would add the fossil fuel industry. Hi speed rail rather than automobile travel.

Anyone that has travelled out of US will attest to the ease and efficiency of hi tech public transportation.

Oh so you don't know anything about it then do you and how much money it wasted.

as opposed to the massive tax breaks afforded the airline and fossil fuel industries.
Both industries dying at their own weight
