Lol @ Joe Simpson sayin after the game that Fredi should be considered for manager of the year for what he had to work with. Dumbest statement ever.

I for one don't mind him saying that. Not because it's true, but because typically the Braves aren't the type to throw people under the bus. Who knows if Joe really believes that, but the broadcasters know Fredi personally and probably feel for his situation.
I'm in favor of firing the broadcast crew as well.
I've always respected Simpson for the most part but uh no..... Fredi's team underperformed... Not what we were used to during the Cox era. This team right now is on pace to finish below .500.. Look at the talent we have.... We should have easily won 90+ games
He's got to go... And some messages need to be sent. As far as Wren... I'm kinda so so on him. Only deal that I can really bash him for is the BJ Upton deal and that's because I THE DAY of the signing said it was WAY too big a contract for a guy who'd never even made an All Star team, and had averaged like a .240 avg, .310 OBP for a while while K'ing a lot..... Wren gave star type money to a so-so player. But other than that, he's been okay
But Fredi..... very unimpressed with him. We don't know a Larry Bowa type. Just need someone who these guys will respect, will be relaxed under and give their all. Just don't think Fredi gives it to them. Now, who I have in mind? No idea who's out there on the market that would give us that, but we need to find him.

Now that the #Braves are officially eliminated from playoffs, let the housecleaning begin, w/ John Coppolella looming as strong GM candidate
I'm surprised Wren is taking this much heat. Seems like they should all be calling for the manager. Will be interesting to see what happens.
I'm really not. He's been extremely impulsive in Atlanta and he had some of that in his year in Baltimore. I think both he and Fredi will be gone.
First bold: Yes
Second bold: 90 at the very best given the injuries to the pitching staff and the career years that Johnson and Simmons had with the bat in 2013. I just don't see this team as being that talented. The astronomical swing/miss rate on pitches in the strike zone is all that has to be said about our offense.
Third bold: They quit on Fredi. They'd mutiny under a Bowa type.
