Second he was put on waivers I knew AA would grab him immediately. Most AA dumpster dive move ever.
And we were right to be skeptical. Not sure we see him pitch again in a Braves uni.Not optimistic but they turned Grant Holmes into a useful player and he washed out at AA. We were all skeptical about Reynaldo as a SP too.
Exactly. We werent skeptical of his health we were skeptical about performance.
who was.. dude was a very good reliever. It wasn't like the Braves were getting some scrap heap, waiver wire claim.. it was always about if he could handle the extra innings and prolonged outings. He couldn't and now his career might be over because the geniuses running this org thought is was a great idea to have a pitcher go from 60 innings per for the prior 3 years to 130+...We werent skeptical of his health we were skeptical about performance.
I would think we were all hopeful he could be. Again he was a quality pitcher. But I would imagine there was concerns over work load. I wanna say even through the season folks were worried about the innings he was accumulating.Yeah some were optimistic he could be a backend starter swingman type. Dont make me bump the thread.
It’s depth with upside. Not sure how anyone can be mad. The team still needs to add an impact starter in the offseason.I like it. He was good, then he sucked before going out with an injury. He hasn’t been back long enough to work the rust out. We’re all familiar with that routine by now. 2 million for a good possibility of a rebound and a couple of years of control seems like a bargain to me.
