It's OVER 5,000!
What's to like about a guy who hit .223/.290/.290/.580? He is terrible. And we are going to pay this guy $3MM? Damn![]()
$3M is the new $1M

The thing about 2017 is that the players we have now will be a lot more expensive then. I projected payrolls thru 2017 and just keeping what we have now will put payroll in the 120's. We should be trying to win now while Teheran/Wood/Miller/Simmons/Minor/Kimbrel are cheap.
Projects as a 0.9 WAR player. Considering the going rate per win is around 8 million this isnt bad if he reaches that,
Hot diggity damn, trade out young TLS, Waldena nd Heyward, add old Callaspo and Markakis, and oft injured Vizcaino.
WAR sucks and this is why. No way El Puerco is worth $7.2m. The dude OPSed .580 last year.
Maybe this is one of those "plus or minus a WAR" situations the Fielding Bible talks about.

Source: Callaspo 1 yr, $3M with #Braves plus $1M in performance incentives.
seems like a good deal to me....Braves saying 2B. But you have to think he just warms it until Peraza can gain an extra yr of control and then he's eating into CJ's time.
I think CJ gets traded and Callaspo is the 3B from the start with Gosselin or Pastor at 2nd until Peraza is ready. They are saying 2B to try and not seem desperate to get rid of CJ.
DOB says he was fat last year and now has a personal trainer while the Braves monitor his offseason work outs.
yea, he was so fat last season they called him the little Juan.![]()
I named him and want full credit. See above.
$3 mil could end up being a nice steal. Not every player is a star, 0 veterans making $3 mil are stars. He's a much option/gamble than Doumit was.
How is paying a guy who couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag, $3MM, a steal? Damn![]()
