Braves donate Justin Upton to Padres for prospects

No, horrible trade.

Really? Norris is younger, a bit cheaper, and is a better overall hitter and defender. Otero is a beast and under control a year longer than Gattis AND Norris. It's a fair trade and, if anything, Oakland might want us to add another prospect.

Hart says he's had a few teams approach him about Gattis and J-Up. He expects the trade market to heat up once some FAs sign.

Hart: "We’ve had some conversations about some players, but there is nothing with any legs on it right now with (J-Up or Gattis)." #Braves

Here is excerpt:

The Braves believe they should get more for Justin Upton than they got from the Cardinals for Jason Heyward.
Rival executives agree with that. Upton, due to better power and overall offense, is worth more than Heyward.

But here's the problem: Executives also believe the Braves got too much for Heyward, a defensive specialist whose offensive numbers are declining a bit. They see young pitcher Shelby Miller as an overpay, so no one wants to do better than that yet.

This sounds like the reporter talked to one guy.

Why is it so hard to beleive that there are those around baseball who feel this way about Heyward? He hasn't exactly distinguished himself as a hitter thus far in his career.

It sounds like you are responding to something I didn't say.
