Who is representing him? I almost feel bad form him....This is not even press conference worthy.
Compare Albies' contract to the contract Ender got...
Albies and Acuna have terrible agents, but great for the Braves.

Ozzie extension comes in at about half of what it cost to extend Acuna...exactly as expected for months and months now.
$7M per FA year is...insanely good value.
Glad to see this get done.
If it's 7/35 and then each option year is picked up for 7 million each, doesn't that push the deal to 9/49, not 9/45?
Also, I've read this deal starts this year, in 2019. Can anyone confirm?

Sounds like Ozzie has a agreed to a deal that values him as a 1 WAR player.

No because the 7/35 includes two buyouts at 4 million each. If the options are picked up he doesn't get the buyouts.
It is hard to understate what the Acuna and Albies deals mean for the window of contention.
Are the terms official? I would think it would be 5/35 for his arb years and then 2 option years at what appears to be 7 million a piece. 5/35 would make sense on both ends, but obviously the 2 option years are hugely in favor of Atl.

This could set us up for a very long window of contention where we can probably afford to bring in more talent within our budget.
