Braves interested in CK and DK

Apparently there's no need for GMs to attend then?

Are you aware he did attend the Winter Meetings?

From the linked article:

The Winter Meetings continued on Tuesday and for the Atlanta Braves the word of the day is patience. General Manager Alex Anthopoulos came in saying that he likes to use the meetings as an opportunity to discuss a number of things but he prefers to do business either before or after.

He has stuck to that as the team has apparently discussed plenty of scenarios with other teams but has yet to pull the trigger on anything, nor does it look like anything is close.

Sometimes you have to take chances to win it all. The Red Sox’s and Cubs over paid to get players and they have titles to show for it. Or stay safe and bow out in the first round every year but have a “look at my value” plaque to feel good about.

Pretty sure most folks are OK with passing on Kimbrel if he's still looking for a major deal,

That said, moves still need to be made - and relatively quickly. Even if the defenders want to say the pen has been somewhat better of late, that's still a pretty shaky limb to be hanging from. Just like the MLBTR article mentions, those high BB and HR rates are a disaster waiting to happen - likely sooner than later since we've been so lucky recently.

Minter should help. Hopefully Soroka will too. I still think they need to add TWO steady options. If Kimbrel isn't one, AA needs to go trade for at least one pretty quickly - especially if he's going to wait until near the deadline for the other.

Nope. Had no clue. Thought he flew into Denver for the Liberty meeting from Hawaii.

I'll wait and see how much he signs for, before saying it was dumb to pass on him or not.

If it's just a deal for the rest of the year, then yeah it's ok to blame AA. If CK gets 2.5/3.5 years at 16+ a year, then i'm ok with AA passing on that kinda deal.

I’ll wait and see as well as what prospects we give up at the trade deadline before I vent and rage.
If we end up giving good players away for relievers not as good as CK after payroll stayed stagnate and we could have signed him for 2 years or less then Braves nation should implode.
