Kind of surprised Willie got first team, but he deserves it. He is our best player and an unreal defender. And there are times when he has completely carried us.

If I had to rank him, Noel, and AD (purely on defense)... it would be tough. Think I'd go:

1. AD
2. WCS
3. Noel

But really, those guys are all elite. WCS is the most versatile, Noel may be the best shot blocker, but AD is from another planet. Kentucky has been blessed with freaks of nature on defense.

WCS is BORDERLINE top 5, he cant create his own offense, more of a putback player.

And there is no way he's better than Towns.

LOL.

Cal and Roy own Pitino who you say arent good coaches.

Pitino is a very close second on my top 5 college coaches list right behind Coach K. Pitino has two championships at two different schools, which is right up there with Saban/Meyer level. Calipari is a good coach, but let's not pretend that his success isn't built around World Wide Wes. It just is what it is.

Yada yada you watched every game.

Towns destroys Steins stats.

I knew you'd say this.

Yes, his stats are better. Towns has had an unreal season in his own right. He's flat-out won Kentucky some games, and he's been their go-to offensively for the second half of the season.

That said, Towns has also been prone to getting into foul trouble and he makes some freshman mistakes. Willie also gets lost sometimes, but I feel like you know what you're getting on a game-to-game basis more so than you do with Towns. Plus, he is truly the only player in the country who can comfortably guard all five positions. I read something the other day that opposing perimeters players are shooting like 21% against him. That is crazy.

I'm not saying it's not close.. both have been awesome.. and Towns is the better player and probably has a brighter future. But for this season, Willie has been slightly better in my opinion.

I'd have Izzo as the best, some may disagree but it's whatever, and yes i know they'll probably lose this weekend.

Cal does have stacked teams but making the FF 4 of the last 5 years is impressive as hell. You gotta be able to coach to accomplish that.

4 Final Fours in 5 years.
22-3 record in the Tournament at Kentucky (15-1 in his last 16).

Cal is a bad coach.

He's a pretty good coach but let's not act like he doesnt have loaded teams essentially every year.

I hate when people act like personnel isn't a part of coaching at the college level. Who got those players to Kentucky? Recruiting is absolutely a part of college coaching.

Also, two of those Final Fours were as a 4 seed and an 8 seed.

agreed, he gets the best recruits for a reason. is he not supposed to get the best guys he can? hate those arguments.

I agree to a certain degree. Cal can coach for sure but Kentucky also recruits itself.

You take any coach in America with that Kentucky team and every single one of them are still playing this weekend.
