Confederate Monuments

It solved the problem of having that particular statue. Something tells me the time/resources spent taking care of this particular problem would not been sufficient to solve the world’s other problems.

There was a problem with this particular statue that impacted peoples lives?

I have a problem with any statue honoring a KKK leader.

And that impacts your life?

Are you able to sleep at night?

Is waking up in the morning difficult?

Is it hard to concentrate at work?

What is it about the statue specifically that impacts your daily life that it NEEDS TO BE TAKEN DOWN THIS INSTANT?

Not in any major way, but I’m slightly happier than I was before reading that news, so I guess it does. Things can be done even if they aren’t a matter of life or death.

I'd rather focus on actual things that impact peoples lives like exploding crime or ****ty schools.

Thats just me though....

Lol. Liberals as if this isn’t a communist color revolution.

For as much as the Right screeches about a culture war perpetrated by the Left, actively promoting more celebrations of traitors that wanted to keep owning humans is quite the way to create one.

What you don't understand is that the idea of putting more statues up has nothing to do with the actual person just like taking them down has nothing to do with the actual person.

No, that’s the exact ****ing point. People don’t actually care about Robert E. Lee specifically, they care about the institution of slavery and the fact that the southern elite decided to kill millions of Americans to make it remain. Further, the context behind why most of those statues exist in the first place was to reaffirm white supremacy during the Civil Rights Movement. If you want to be on that side, be my guest. I’ll remain on the side that think we should leave the Confederacy in the ****ing trashbin of history where it belongs.

HAHAHAHA - This doesn't actually impact black people. Its a rallying cry for intellectual white sensitive leftists.

If you actually cared about the "Institution of slavery" then we would do something about terrible cities/schools.

Its a pathetic excuse to show that white people 'get' black people.

I’ve already mentioned previously that my number one policy priority for combatting inequality would be to fix our education system. As for the cities, I think you’re missing that it’s the impact of slavery and discrimination over hundreds of years that led to some of our current problems.

Thats the slogan the left likes to push while black people have suffered under THEIR POLICIES.

You keep focusing on token events to trick black people you actually care about them just like an extra 50 bucks a week the party uses to bribe them into their indentured servitude currently.

How will a new statue of Robert E. Lee impact their lives? Maybe the Right should focus less on keeping up statues or building new ones and instead worry about things that matter.

Oh - I don't think it will improve their lives at all just like I don't think taking it down will.

My insistence on putting up more is to stop the Communists.

Otherwise, I have supported numerous policies that have actually helped black people. Go take a look at real wages under Trump and see just who actually helps black people and other POC in this country.

So you agree that one can express an opinion on a statue while also working toward other policy proposals?

Of course but the opining on the statues is to divert from the realty that the left's policies have done nothing but further the degradation in conditions of Black America. Further, its yet another step in the plot by the left to strengthen racial tensions to divide the nation which is a standard maneuver in color revolutions.
