CrimsonCowboy's 2014 NFL Mock Draft

Everyone is starting to believe Clowney is the first pick. That sucks for the Falcons.... probably means Mack will not fall to us.

With JC not working out for any more teams, the nfl thinks the Texans have informed JC that he will be their choice if they cannot trade out.

Really? Random sports guys quoted from Rotoworld is the best you got?

None of the recent (or old) mocks I've seen (probably 30-40 or more as this is all I do at work) from NFL, CBS, Scout or ESPN have OBJ going earlier than 15. Those links are literally the first time I've ever seen anyone have OBJ going that high. Most have him around 18-23 range, with a couple having him at 15 going to the Steelers. That includes the insider info from McShay, Kipper as well.

Schefter just said that today.

Not totally surprising if they arent sold on the QB's.

Texans appear to be moving closer to selecting Clowney. Not good for falcons as that could put Mack off the board.

Browns/Rams wont take Mack imo.

Raiders or Jags would be his other potential target if Clowney goes 1.

Yeah momentum can be a real bugger sometimes.

ALso apparently the Rams are leaning Mack or Watkins. Not going OL. May not even take Clowney.

Don't believe anything draft-related for teams right now, all a load of crap.

I can see Stl go any of Mack/Watkins/Robinson/Matthews assuming Clowney goes 1.

Well St. Louis is the team who doesn't have a need at any of the top available talent spots. They just used a high pick on WR last year, they have Long and barksdale on the OL (and you usually don't draft a RT at number 2) and they have Long and QUinn on the DL. Chris Long is getting a bit long in the tooth, but he's still effective. And I think that's why they're leaning Mack not RObinson/Matthews. You don't know of course, but Mack and Watkins are superior prospects to RObinson and Matthews so on that reason alone, they should be the ones considered by the rams.

Of course the Rams really want to move down. Best case for them is Clowney falls out of 1 and teams try to move up to 2 to get him.

If I was stl, I pick Watkins. If you believe Bradford is your guy and it appears they do, give him the stud and find out. Austin won't play on the outside much, and Jared cook is dangerous as long as he isn't the focal point.

I'd take Watkins too. But you know how Fisher loves defense. I think what St. Louis wants is for Jacksonville, Cleveland, or Oakland to move up to 2 to take Bortles or Clowney so they can add picks and still get Mack or Watkins. I think best case for St. Louis if Houston takes Bortles, the Falcons are willing to pay to move up to 2 for CLowney (and boy do I hope they don't) or the texans take CLowney, Cleveland or Oakland (more liekly Cleveland) want that 2 pick really bad so they can get Bortles.

Pittsburgh QB Tom Savage "has a very real shot of landing in the top of the second round," says NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah.

"When you just look at the number of visits he's had and number of workouts he's had, that's hard data you can tell that there's buzz and some excitement building on him," said Jeremiah. Savage (6-foot-4, 228 pounds) threw for 2,958 yards with 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions in relative obscurity for Pitt last year. Scouts discovered a bazooka arm when breaking down tape, however, and Savage has taken on helium since the draft process began. "The arm strength is easy to notice. He's got a big arm and you see him make some drive throws you don't see other guys make," Jeremiah said. "When I watched him early in the year, he took so many sacks and I kind of worried about his ability to navigate in the pocket and get out of trouble."

Schefter said today he thinks Clowney, Robinson, Mack, and Watkins will be the first 4 picks.

Leaving Matthews to fall, but sounds like he might not at this point. Better start lining up workouts with Ha Ha, Ebron, and Lewan. That would suck for the Falcons, but I saw a breakdown on Ha Ha on the falcoholic that was very very convincing.

To back up the things about Tom Savage, he has really shot up the draft boards. For example, on the CBS/NFL Draft Scout prospect rankings, he's now ranked #31. So needless to say, when I do this week's version, he will be MUCH higher.

He was invited to NY but declined the invite. Wise IMO
