CrimsonCowboy's 2014 NFL Mock Draft

Still early but I'd wager thats how the first 6 picks go. Would be a shock if Mack fell that far though. Consensus top 3 talent in the draft and scheme versatile.

What if all 4 of Mack/Clowney/Matthews/Robinson are all gone at 6.

Would you take Watkins :Alone:

No, but I bet you the Lions would be on the phone wanting to trade up to 6. We take Lewan\Martin, then OLB with our first 2nd rounder, then TE\FS with the other.

They have it bad for Watkins.

If that were the case, and we had ZERO trade out partners...hard to say what we would do. Clinton Dix or Ebron would be awful hard to pass up.

I'm convinced we plan to trade up for Watkins

Ok Matt Millen ... I'd like to see the Hawx defend that if we could give Matt 3 seconds.

Well it's certainly a risky move, but by most accounts, Watkins is one of the 3 if not 2 best players in the draft. Most people agree, Clowney 1, then Watkins, then Mack. It we have a shot at any 3 of them at 6 you have to take it. Of course I think Mack is the only one we have a decent shot at getting down there, I'm pretty sure Chokeland or Cleveland will take Watkins. But most likely I think we get Matthews or Robinson.

Robinson or Mack would be a home run, Matthews would be a triple. If all are gone, you trade the pick. Watkins isn't needed, as good as he is.

Watkins isn't really needed, but Roddy is old Roddy, Julio and Sammy would be killer short term. Then you have Julio and Sammy long term.

I would much rather have Robinson, Mack or Matthews, or especially Clowney, but if for some reason they all are gone I would absolutely take Sammy. And honestly I would consider him over Matthews too.

I am so burnt out on the NFL this off season. Each season that passes it seems like I care that much less. Especially with the draft being so late this season.

Roddy is on an expiring deal, Julio off an injury.

Good depth at OT in the 2nd, a guy like Moses.

Not saying i'd do it but Watkins would be quite intriguing if those 4 are off the board and you cant move back.

As someone who watches Ohio State, Shazier going in the 1st would be a huge mistake. Not saying it won't happen.

Savage the last pick in the 5th? Some team grabs him early 2nd. He has as much heat as any QB in the draft right now.

OBJ at 22 is a S T E A L. Thinking he goes 10-12 range. Some recent mocks have him 3rd off the board and in the top 10.

LINK?

I don't know what mocks you are referring to. I haven't seen any NFL or ESPN analyst rank Savage in the their top 5 QB's, much less view him a 2nd round pick. And I haven't seen anywhere where OBJ is remotely close to a top 10 pick, much less top 3.
