Dan Uggla to the Blue Jays?

I wouldn't give you Martin for Dickey.

What in the *ell do we need with another SP when we don't have room for all the ones we currently have???

I understand everyone hates having a $12 million/per mistake on their bench, but you said it yourself - Dickey's their 4th best SP.

Uggla's currently our 4th best 2B. Why on God's green Earth would you give up potential assets to get someone that would go from being his team's 4th best option to come over here to be our 7th best option???

I completely subscribe to the "you can never have enough pitching" mantra, but if you're giving away potential future assets to make the money line up when it doesn't improve your chances, you're an idiot.

They'd add Martin who's MLB ready. And I used ERA because that's what MLB GMs look at mostly.

And Martin isn't that good of prospect. Certianly not enough for them to lose one of their better pitchers for and take on Uggla's contract.

Harang has 10x more value to us than he does to anyone else. It wouldn't be super smart of us to trade him either with him pitch so well. How could you justify that to the players? We traded a Harang as a throw away piece to get rid of Uggla and pick up a 39 yr old pitcher who has pitched much worse thus far this season?

Martin has a high K rate, over 3 to 1 K/BB ERA under 3. He's not a stud prospect, but neither was many of the better pitchers in baseball. You never know what will happen with Martin.

I certainly don't want to add Martin. I think he is going to do very well for himself, and I hope it is with the Braves.

Is this an actual rumor with Romero and Uggla or did someone just make it up and everyone else is speculating?

I can find nothing reliable about the source: Inquisitr.com. Seems to be an internet or twitter rumor that the source ran with. Rest is just idle speculation, relief from the daily angst over Uggla.
