comes down to cost...if the price drops enough we should be looking at guys like Frazier, Moose and Yelich.
Right, so that's the question.
Is Cain at 3/45 worth it? What about Mous at something like 5/85? Frazier at 2/20 with an option?

If you acquire a 3B and OF this offseason there is no need to worry about next offseason as you'd be set everywhere except Catcher for thenext 3 years. You can decide between going after Grandal or resigning Flowers.
Since this talk of the "Big offseason of 2019" years ago I've thought it a bad idea for anyone outside of the Dodgers, Yankees, and other big boys to even care about. There's going to be a lot of money thrown around and mid market teams cannot get swept up in it. Donaldson would be great, but he'll be 33. Blackmon could be great, but he'll be 32 and the Colorado effect has to be considered. Pollock could be ideal, but he cannot make it through a full season.
Right, so that's the question.

I would do 5/20/20 for Cain right now
yes on Cain and Frazier at those prices....no on Moose
Then the next question becomes, does it make sense to sign Cain without also addressing 3B?
If they don’t fix 3B and make the team a fringe WC contender, does getting Cain at that value warrant taking on the extra risk of signing him a year before the team expects to contend?
His road stats have been better than at home, I feel. If anything, his power definitely has. What would Mous put up in Suntrust? Is he a decent bet for D at 3b?
With the way the offseason is going, see any chance -or desire- that the Braves take a chance on Joey Bats or Cargo on a 1-2 year deal? Guess you could throw Gomez in that mix but really thinking about power hitting OF type.
I don't think now is the time to invest in 30+ year olds who had a bad year and hope they get it going again. If we are doing anything during this offseason I would target someone like Cain on a back loaded deal or look to trade or someone like Yelich. Otherwise look at the deadline or next offseason.
