I was referring to how quiet the Braves ties have been. No real Mac heat, no signing of minor leaguers to speak of (which tells me a lot about how our FO views our system), not much (public) dialogue with our FA's and their intentions. I know not much happens til the Winter Mtgs, but still... crickets.
And seriously, how did this comment draw so much attention? Got a bunch of nit pickers it seems.

Phils aren't exactly breaking the bank, but those are kind of premium contracts for guys of that age and performance level.

Mets 2B Daniel Murphy is said to be available. He is a lot like Prado as a hitter with a little less power and walks. He did set career highs in homers(13) and stolen bases(23) this last year. He is a below average defender at 2B but a plus defender at 3B. Has also played 1B/LF but he is about as good a defender as Gattis is at those positions. He has 2 years left before FA and is projected to make 5.4 million this year. I like that he has the versatility to play 3B if CJ regresses and/or La Stella impresses in the majors. The Mets are reportedly looking for players that walk more and/or hit for more power which are two things Murphy does not excel at. I think Terdoslavich fits that mold but it would probably take a 3 team deal to get it done. I would offer something like Terdoslavich, Northcraft, and one of the reliever prospects in the high minors. Mets really need cheap pen help in a bad way.

Still not remotely close to focusing on baseball at all. What players do you guys think we should try and target via free agency. I would love to add Ellsbury, but we can't add any high profile guys I don't think because of Uggla and BJ. My perfect off season would be somehow trading BJ away and getting Ellsbury.

Realistically.
I'd bring back EOF, sign Brian Wilson or another righty out of the pen.
Add Eric Chavez.
To the rotation, i dont know if anyone realistically is an upgrade over what we got now.

Minor, JT, Medlen, Wood, and ???. Beachy can't be counted on at this point and I think we need to find someone else to fill that fifth spot. Maybe a lesser free agent signing because Wren has shown in the past he's pretty terrible at handing out contracts to big name guys weather it be BJ or Uggla.

This team has a lot of holes and I think starting pitching is the least of them. Second base and a CF should be areas of emphasis.

Whether we like it or not, BJ isnt going anywhere.
Regards to 2B, if they dump Uggla, one of LaStella/Pena/Pastor would be 2B, would love Infante but i doubt that happens.
