DOB: Upton will be moved, Gattis very possibly as well

When Wren told Harang before signing, "We can only afford to pay you peanuts" Aaron thought he literally meant peanuts and he had never been happier.

Yep. If Gosselin was playing in place of CJ the lineup would be perfect.

If we make the playoffs I hope this happens.

I actually like that Freddi is making these moves. A little late for my liking but at least he is doing something.

Boni is hitting 12-27 (.444) with two doubles, a triple, a homer, four runs and four RBIs over the last week. Keep this lineup running Fredi.

Also, Gattis is finally ahead of Johnson!

Bonifacio isn't this great missing piece to the puzzle, but he's a pretty solid super-utility guy. I wanted him last year at the deadline, but he ended up in Kansas City and Eliot Johnson ended up as our 2B down the stretch. He has proven helpful thus far and I hope he continues to be so.

What Bonafacios contract situation? I wouldn't mind him being here for another 2-3 years.

Gattis would be a good fit for the Royals. They have only 85 homers hit. Another deal I could see is Gattis for Samardzjia. Gattis seems like a player Beane would like.

Arbitration eligible but not eligible for free agency. 2014 contract is for $2.5 million. I wouldn't be surprised if the Braves offered him arbitration, but get ready to pay $3 million if they do.

Gray area guy to me. $3.0 million or that neighborhood is a lot if he's only going to get 200 - 250 ABs, but I think his weaknesses show up if he plays a lot more than that. I think he's valuable on the right team, but his weaknesses are pretty much the same as a lot of other guys' weaknesses on the Braves' team in that he's a ball-in-play guy who is not particularly patient. I like the guy at the right price and in the right role, but if this thread is correct, there are going to be a lot of folks moving around, which could make Bonifacio an afterthought of sorts.

What a terrible argument. Even the greatest aces get beaten soundly at times... what exactly are you accomplishing here? If you can't see that Harang has been a great addition you are showing more and more why people consistently think you have no idea what you're talking about.

What I mean is with Harang he loses as often as he wins. He's pitched over his head. You never what you're getting. When the Braves were contenders you knew you were watching a team that was going to win 3 of 5. You're another one of those guys that as long as Braves is on the jersey a guy is all world, next year pitching for someone else he'll be a scrub.

So basically 4 years if Gattis for one of Samardzjia and and a draft pick. The A's made the moves this year to win now. I bet Beane will take Gattis and the payroll flexibility.

The Braves really look to have a shortage of starting pitching going into next year, especially if Minor is traded to get rid of BJ.

You must not pay attention to my posts very often... I'm very critical of Braves players when its warranted. The only reason Harang loses as often as he wins this year is because the offense is so putrid. He's actually been one of our most consistent and solid pitchers. Alex Wood is 9-10... he apparently loses as often as he wins also... is his 9-10 record worse than Harang's 10-8 record? Of course not... wins have nothing to do with how good a season a pitcher is having.

What I don't get is that people fail to look at Harang's past... sure, he's never been a world beater... but from 2005-2007 and 2011-2012, he was a very good pitcher. He has 120 career wins (since that's your favorite stat to evaluate a pitcher apparently) and is only 36 (which isn't too old for someone who throws as efficiently as he does). Harang gets the short end of the stick... he won't go down as a great pitcher, but he is very solid and he's a great number 3 this year. Lets not make it out to be like he's so erratic from start to start... he's been very consistent and carried the staff his first month and a half here.

After his last two starts, Minor isn't going anywhere.
