Dodgers game 3: let's win the series

I really used to like some of you back in the Scout days and further. But if you don't drink the kool-aid of the organization these days then you are ostracized. If you don't treat the game as a science you're not worthy of posting here. If you don't think RAJ walks on water don't post here. And whatever you do don't post contrary to board consensus. I posted a month ago I intended to cheer Fredde's exploits against us. I am just living up to it.

This isn’t a Freddie Freeman board. It’s an Atlanta Braves board and all of us BRAVES fans want this team to win and when you root against that then yes you are ostracized. Freeman chose his destiny and we got the better player long term in Olson whether you like or agree with it or not.
 
This is the levity I needed tonight. Epic stuff. I hope VA brave is still here in a couple years when Cusick never got to the bigs, Langeliers/Pache are fringe starters, and Olson goes from marching Freddie’s production to vastly surpassing it.

I truly didn’t realize there were fans who would rather have unconditional loyalty to individual players than have the team try to win.

California Freddy got what he deserved in this deal- he played hard ball with AA.

You don’t play hard ball with AA......
And we have increased the length of our window in the process. Olson will be peaking while California is in the sharp decline almost always consistent with aging old first basemen.....

And Chef telling other posters to leave the board..... you just can't make this **** up...
Like seriously, thank you for being a jack wagon to this degree- I needed a good laugh after this game.

The game isn’t going to revert back to 1990. If you want to discuss how analytics are ruining the game, Reddit is a great (horrendous) option for that.

This really is rather comical.

I've constantly been one of the most outspoken posters in favor of bringing Freeman back as well as saying Acuna needs to mature a significant amount if he ever hopes to reach his ceiling.

That said, I wish Freddie well - and while I don't pull for him to become a Braves-killer now that he's gone, I smiled a little every time he got a hit because I love watching him play. The game and the way players are valued has changed, and even an old school guy like me doesn't need to drink any organizational kool-aid to understand that there's tons to be learned from the new light that has been shed on the game by analytics. Learning parts of that without becoming strictly about the numbers doesn't make me less of a fan, it actually makes me happier when trying to explain the way the game "used to be played" to someone who just can't understand it and has a genuine interest in learning.

Most of today's fans worry much more about the names on the backs of the jerseys until they're much older - and there's plenty of room in the game for those kinds of fans too.

Swanson, Dickerson, Arcia, Heredia, Rosario if we are being honest. They have all rotated in and out of the line up. And Albies may be able to be thrown in there.

Ozuna and Olson have been hitting the absolute cover off of the ball
 
There is a better chance than any of us want to admit that Arcia is the everyday SS next year. I can definitely see him being the backup plan in the event none of the star FAs can be had on a reasonable deal.
 
If Dansby doesn't show at least a bit of regression toward his past numbers, we might be seeing Arcia at SS sooner than next year...

If they do then they have to go for a bigger bat in the OF.
