Employment growth September 2023 to September 2024

Foreign-born 1.2 million

Native-born -0.8 million

Ballers vs Whiners! Not a fair match! When y'all gonna get off the wagon and start pulling y'all's weight?!?! Or are we gonna have to do all the pullin' and payin' all the taxes?

Companies are hiring cheap immigrant labor over native born people and BL thinks this is some kind of win for America.

I can understand y'all's jealousy and resentments. We come here and outhustle y'all and eat y'all's lunches. Y'all soft. We're the ones who roll up our sleeves and make America great.

Jobs reports have a bit too much “Boy who cried Wolf” stink on them, but this one was quite promising.

Consumer spending solid, real wages up this year, inflation cooling, and now employment looks fine. Markets are pricing in a 50 bps cut in November

There’s still softness in the economy especially with looming energy crises if a full blown war breaks out in Iran. I’m cautiously optimistic.

Today's data diminish the chances the Fed will go 50 in November.

Can we get this guy to America and call him a migrant? The upgrade he would be over nearly every politician we have would be ridiculous

You can tell the Pennsylvania Senate race is tightening because CNN on Wednesday rolled out a hit piece on GOP Senate candidate Dave McCormick’s record as former CEO of Bridgewater Associates. The story happens to fit perfectly with Democratic Sen. Bob Casey’s campaign strategy vilifying private business.

Well-diversified investors take short positions to hedge risks in their portfolio. As the Biden Securities and Exchange Commission explained last year, “short selling provides the market with important benefits, such as providing market liquidity and pricing efficiency.”

Yet the CNN story makes short-selling sound nefarious. “Short positions, which are essentially bets that the companies’ stocks will drop, can hurt corporations by depressing their stock prices, making it harder to gain new financing, invest or hire more workers, according to experts,” CNN says. “For financial institutions, short positions can be lucrative.”

Yes, and so can long positions. The goal of investing is to make money, but short sellers can also lose money if the price of stocks they short rise before their short bets come due.

Surely the great minds in the chamber of commerce funded think tanks know more than someone like Mr wonderful.

Imagine watching businesses underpay immigrants and thinking it’s the immigrants who are at fault.

Try running a mobile home moving company in the South without using illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants work for half as much. I tried using only American workers, all the customer cares about is what it costs them. If you are the customer are you paying 300-500 dollars extra to use the company with legal workers or go with the one with illegal immigrants?

I would vote for him. I cant find a whole lot on his position on marijuana other than he supports medical marijuana. Thats very vague though. Check out what the President of El Salvador is doing. Doing some good work over there too.

DAMN!

We should just kidnap people from around the world and make them slaves for even cheaper labor so things are free!

I wish you people care about context all the time instead of only caring about it to try to make partisan points. No one batted an eye when the jobs report was revised down 500k during the dark days of the Trump regime.
