Economics Thread

You’re simply describing two lies and excusing one because you like his policies more.

One lie impacted Americans because of the shitstorm that happened under that regime.

The other 'lie' literally impacts nobody.

Owning a handful of shares doesn’t move people to base their political decisions on market movements.

Figured you’d understand that.
66% of your base has stock exposure.

Some of them may not mind.

Some of them will mind quite a bit.

How much of your base can you afford to piss off?

Oh you think a majority of people hold meaningful amounts? Cute.

Go look at conversation of trial holdings based on wealth levels.
I’m going to get so rich re-publishing Das Kapital but just adding MAGA talking points and terms to each page.

Chinese drop shippers saying they are increasing costs becusss of tariffs.

Thats the whole point!!!

Oh no the ccp isn’t getting as much trade. The horror!!

How will Americans be able to function?

WHAT WILL WE DO WITHOUT TEMU!?!?!?!?!
Do you understand that it's AMERICAN companies that are selling stuff made in China?

I read one post this morning about a guy who.sold a million bucks worth of t shirts got his first tarrif charge at 20%... said it won't be profitable or worth selling at 145% and is planning to shut down

That's an AMERICAN business who is closing shop

Yes - the rise of drop shippers and there reduction in market share will KILL AMERICA!

You realize that Temu/Ali Express will probably get more popular. If my choices to buy a Sous Vide is is to spend 500 bucks on an Anova or 100 bucks on a chinese one, I probably go that route. If I'm buying a Pellet Grill, I'm probably going to be more inclined to get the 500 dollar non-branded chinese one than a 1500 dollar Traeger.

Your right as a consumer to do that.
