Going with the hypothetical that Wood hs TJ again despite how rare it is for guys to have twice, he misses a year. That still doesnt mAke trade worthwhile.

The market value of that pick Is probably $5m or more. It's an important part of the return. The Dodgers basically bought the 74th pick for around $2m last year.

BS. Stop that. I've been talking about trading Wood since the offseason. I actually like Peraza still and hope he does well.

Considering Oliveras bonus has been paid, we would have him for 5 yrs at 32 mill?
 
If you're going to trade Wood, it makes more sense to do it in the offseason, even though it really actually doesn't make sense at all.

I meant to say we can't re-write history. You are saying the deal is even worse because they could have just signed him. Well they didn't so that has no bearing on this deal.
