love it actually. I think Olivera/Wood is beyond fair
Well the Braves will now be in that poisitin the next couple of years. Hopefully we actually draft some hitters this time.

It's hard to escape the suspicion that the front office was more willing to trade Wood because he was the previous regime's draft pick and not one of Their Guys.
That struck my mind last night. Same for Peraza.
Braves will not suck next year.
I wouldn't say that about Wood but certainly peraza
Just like this years offense would be better than last years, right?

With the many pieces and the fact the draft pick would be essentially be dealt twice, no guarantee this complicated deal gets completed

Bob Nightengale tweeted earlier this AM that he would be surprised if the Dodgers were able to get Price without offering Urias, and Peter Gammons just said that Mark Appel was being made available by the Astros.
How is Price demanding that kind of talent? Especially considering that weak ass package Tampa sold him for when he had another entire year of team control.
Anyways, if Urias goes to Detroit, it sounds likely that LAD keeps Wood.

See - I would think Wood has more trade value than Price, based on the contract... but maybe that's just my bias
