Farewell to Wood, Peraza, Jimmy Johns, and Avilans.

With the many pieces and the fact the draft pick would be essentially be dealt twice, no guarantee this complicated deal gets completed

The delay in the completion of the deal has to do with more than simply medical exams

I'm hoping Hart is on the phone with Friedman just stubbornly repeating the word "Puig" over and over again.

Friedman: John, what's it going to take this deal done?
Hart: Puig.
Friedman: As I've told you for the last seven hours-
Hart: Puig
Friedman: What about-
Hart: Puig
Friedman: If you guys need money-
Hart: Puig.
Friedman: Hey, which player do you absolutely NOT want in this trade?
Hart: Morse.
Friedman: Dammit.

With Wood involved, LA can make it happen if they want to.

Bob Nightengale tweeted earlier this AM that he would be surprised if the Dodgers were able to get Price without offering Urias, and Peter Gammons just said that Mark Appel was being made available by the Astros.

How is Price demanding that kind of talent? Especially considering that weak ass package Tampa sold him for when he had another entire year of team control.

Anyways, if Urias goes to Detroit, it sounds likely that LAD keeps Wood.

See - I would think Wood has more trade value than Price, based on the contract... but maybe that's just my bias
