You should ask your mommy how police officers are trained...fire high center mass to stop the action. They dont train to kill...its called stopping the action. And do you actually know how difficult it is to fire accurately in that situation? Its not the range....get real...please.

Who knows how the incident truly unfolded...but if the officer was in his car when he was assaulted that hints towards the officer being on the defensive. Officer receives blows from the suspect...blows that could possibly cause the officer to become visually impaired or possibly unconscious. What happens then? Maybe the suspect runs...maybe he grabs the officers weapon and executes him?

Its easy for everyone to form an opinion from their couch how the officer should have handled the situation. The opinion ive formed from my couch is the officer felt his life was threatened and took the action he was trained to take.

Making this about race is ridiculous. This officer had been working for four years in that area and had never received a complaint from a citizen...which is quite rare.

If Michael Brown was white this would still be a huge issue because the hate for police is quite strong. But using the black vs. white really gets the people going huh?

I still don't understand why you would rush a cop. Doesn't justify this kids death but if there was compliance from the beginning this would not have happened.

At the same time, don't you think whites have been victims of affirmative action? Supreme Court has dealt with it a few times. It's basically the same thing.

Any time you ever give someone extra points because of Thier race is wrong. To dumb down an entrance test for a public service job because minorities don't give a high enough score to get the job is a retarded thing to do.

This country has been 70%+ white for a long time... and for a long time, minorities were discriminated just because they were minorities.

Affirmative action has done plenty good. Obviously it has it's flaws.

Firstly, I don't think the white boy would've been harassed by the cop walking down the street so the confrontation likely would've never taken place to begin with.

And would the cop have shot the white boy an extra 5+ times when his hands were already up in the air? I personally don't think it would've gone down like that.

So the cop was wrong to stop these two guys for walking down the middle of street for impeding traffic.

That's harassment?

Obv white people never get harassed or shot by cops. I'm sure if white people walk down the middle of street and bad mouth cop, the cop will just drive off.

I mean I should come on here and claim everytime I get pulled over that it's bc I'm white.

Allegedly

But still if he did, cop was stupid by not having his gun out, first and justifiable in firing to stop him. There are two witnesses not in collaboration said he grab the kid, the cop said he rushed him. Someone is lying.

But the facts remain, if the kid was shot in the back several times and had his hands up, it is murder and lesser lost control of the situation and reckless manslaughter.

Again I can't believe some of my so called friends on this board thinks we are just animals to be shot because we stole 50 dollars worth of cigars.

yes, but I don't think he would chase him down and put 5 more bullets in him. They don't do it here for sure it has happened a few times in the last few months. One of them died, the other survived by giving up, with hands in the air. Mike was not giving that chance with his hands up, he was met with 3 or more bullets.
