1) You shouldn't. Nor am I saying every Muslim is a jihadist. Again, that's just another straw man argument.

2) There are several Quranic verses and material in the Hadith which can be interpreted and are in a way that advocates physical and violent jihad (among other things). There is also the biography of Muhammed himself. The question in Islamic-Quranic hermeneutics is if the violent portions are abrogated by the less violent. Not sure if that's what you are getting at - I don't think it is. Wahhabism and other forms of jihadist interpretation predate the sort of "we've done bad things" reason you are driving at.

You didn't ask for someone connected to an outside terrorist group. You asked for an "Islamic radical attack" and that's exactly what the Boston Marathon bombing was. And YES, it would be prudent to be wary of anyone who prays to Allah, brown or otherwise. It's also prudent to be wary of anyone who prays period, but I think the ones praying to Allah are a more pressing concern right now.
