Fredi Gonzalez Rant Thread.

I can't recall many examples where Bobby would have had to do that. Like I said, the discipline thing isn't for everyone. Only some managers are good and effective at it. But again, something ain't working. I'd say we're just not that good, but it's a lot of the same guys that won 96 games last year.

Minor has sucked. Fredi has been vocally supporting him and he obviously keeps throwing him back out there every 5th day.

Teamwise, Less homeruns. Seems like same amount of K's. Freeman hasn't been as clutch as last year.

You are without a doubt the biggest fire Fredi cheerleader on here. Consistently.

So Kimbrel gets an attitude. Lol Fredi has no control.

CJ throws a tantrum and Fredi benches him. Lol Fredi has no control.

Hale gets upset and shows bad body language. Fredi has no control.

I could go on. You are always first to the scene when there's a moment to be had to potentially blame Fredi.

Show me where I said either of those things. I didn't say **** about Hale, and I criticized Pendleton over the CJ stuff.

Fredi is a fckn moron and for anyone to attempt to suggest any words of defense for him can bite me. It's as clear as day the difference in the two. Yes, Bobby made some bone head calls but he's successfully managed in the game for decades! Like Smoltz said, "When a player failed to do his job during a game, they weren't worried about the effect on the team...They were worried about letting Bobby down or dissappointing him." Fredi doesn't command that type of respect from his ball players. Playing fckn cards with them in the clubhouse doesn't do a damn thing. He's a manger, not a 3rd base coach.

Everything I've seen from Fredi screams traditional old school manager.

It's also hilarious to see people complain about him not getting ejected enough. I'd rather Fredi not get thrown out just to get the thrown out if it means Carlos Tosca or TP are managing.

They would be better.

No he's not Bobby but everyone knows Bobby taught him how to manage in the majors. He says it often and it was obvious he was hired because he was a Bobby disciple to continue the continuity.

In the 15 years I've been in this community I heard more complaints about Bobby's bullpen management than compliments. He's copied Bobby in the unwavering loyalty to struggling players category. His post game conferences are about as Bobbyesque as you are going to get.

"He's my guy, he gives us the best chance to win"

Indication he is a MORON.

This season has been a culmination ofa number of things gone bad to lead us to this point:

Offseason: We lose a major part of the veteran presence in the clubhouse in McCann and Huddy
Spring Training: We lose 2/5 of our projected rotation, Minor is injured and sits out a majority of the spring,
Season: Uggla/BJ continue to struggle mightily eventually leading to Uggla's release, Freeman has been up and down on the offensive side of the ball, Johnson is not performing like he did last year, Gattis injury, Heyward struggled offensively for a majority of the season, JUp most consistent hitter so far this season despit road struggles. Avilan falls off the map, Walden injured, Kimbrel being very human, bullpen in general not as strong as we have come to know. Minor has been downright terrible ALL season long. Santana has been good for the most part despite that rough stretch. Harang has been steady. Losing Floyd to that injury when he was becoming our best pitcher.

Everything plus I am sure I have left some out, has lead to where we are at right now. I am sure that we can turn it around because we have 50+ games to go. But it is about time to have a closed door meeting and get everything out there that needs to be said. The veterans of this team need to step up and lead this club with professionalism that a leader should have. You should never have the first base coach gather 3 team mates in the dugout and go off on them for not paying attention. That is inexcusable and tells you exactly the mindset of this team. That is why there needs to be a closed door bru-ha-ha NOW.

Anyone have any indication as to why we are the only team in the league that hasn't released a lineup yet?
