Freeman tests positive

Ball is a 1B prospect who bats LH. That shores up the left hand hitter spot some, although it's doubtful that he makes the MLB roster with only 1 year of MiLB to his credit according to MLBTR.

Here you go

Someone said they hoped Ball would be added to 60 man roster. He has according to MLBTR

The Braves have added first base prospect Bryce Ball to their 60-man player pool, per a club announcement. David Lee of bravesprospects.com first reported the news.

I had hoped he'd be added from the beginning only because I'd like to see him get reps - can't imagine he would be added to the roster without something just shy of the entire pool becoming infected. Just a guess, but it's probably more likely that the league office cancels the season than it is that AA actually activates him.

Ball is going to DH.

He is Jumbo Goldschmidt.

Would be a nice thought, I just don’t want to see any of these kids have their clocks started this season, when it would be a waste to their future with the team. Why waste a year of their time with the Braves on a 60 game season? Ball will do great getting playing time with the minor leaguers in Gwinnett and maybe we’ll see him get a chance at the roster next year.

Great to hear he is feeling better. Anyone know if he has been tested again or when that will occur?

He has to be completely symptom free for 72 hours first. Then he has to have 2 negative tests, 24 hours apart. None of our 4 players (Freeman, Smith, Touki, or Kozma) have passed the 2 negative test threshold yet. They’re all still testing positive even though Touki and Kozma were asymptomatic.
