Friday MINORS THREAD 5/19 ... Rome loses in 18

If Kemp keeps this up we could probably find a taker for what we're paying on his contract. That would be huge as we'd be out from under the money from the Olivera catastrophe.

If Dpet does well, I would expect one of Kemp or Nick (probably Nick), to be dealt this year. Both are doing well and you stunt Dustins development as a bench peice or either keeping him too long in AAA.

I agree. I think coppy considers him a long term piece. Our only hope is some al team is desperate and is willing to give up a lh pitcher

And I still believe that. Not a personal shot at him, just the way I see it. And I said it when he was hitting well over .400.

Would love to be wrong, though.

Seymour appears to be a one-tool guy with tremendous speed and that gets overrated in the low minors. He's going to have to prove he can hit. It's possible he could develop into a decent bench guy, but I think that's his ceiling.

I hadn't really thought about trading Kemp. Our front office trading Kemp if he brought only something minor back would shock the heck out of me. But it actually is becoming more and more likely if Kemp keeps putting up this type stats since we might actually get an offer that Coppy can't pass up. Btw, this just made me also think, can Kemp play 1st base at all?

I think it's time to start including Cumberland in our top 30 prospects with his .430 OBP.

14 hits, 19 walks and 13 HBP. That's gotta be tracking for a record. He's gonna be a 50-50-50 guy.
