Rosario’s xwOBA of .332 isn’t that bad. He’s been a legitimately decent hitter.

His WAR is only 0.3 though - his terrible defense offsets most of his adequate offense. He's far from the desaster he was last year, but also far from a good player.
(I'm a bit surprised his WAR is that low. I guess a .831 OPS isn't that special for a LF)

Oh yeah he’s not a very good player but at least his bat has been decent. That’s all I was saying

0.7 on fangraphs. It's less about OPS for his position (831 vs league average 741 OPS for LFers) and the fact he's a below average baserunner and fielder at a position that already has a big negative impact on fielding. That said, chop2chip is right, if we get 1.5 fWAR out of Rosario who essentially is a platoon guy and like 10th best player on the team then we are doing alright.
