Garcia being traded to Twins

It's simple economics. He pitches better (like he's done the last 2 starts against really good teams) and his value increases. More teams will want him, thus his value increases. It's really simple.

It's simple, yet you still misunderstand it. Teams would have been buying 10-12 regular season starts. Now they will be buying 1 less start.

His value decreases every start he makes in Atlanta.

lol I love it.

You guys think his value has increased.

Let's hear your revised predictions on the return the braves get haha.

It depends if it's just 1 for 1.

If Braves include 1-2 more players with Garcia it could increase the other.

But i'm still not expecting much in return once he's traded.

Man, spent all morning hanging drywall and a light fixture in one of the rentals, and get to come home to read all this comedy gold lol.

The board brain trust has not only decided Garcias trade value has skyrocketed after a good start, they are now so enamored with him they want to extend him for 3 years!

Wow....lol...thanks for the laughs guys haha!

Rosenthal just said the prospect the Twins were sending was Tommy John surgery Nick Burdi -- a future closer.

I feel like Garcia can get you better than him.... He is the Twins' 16th rated prospect with a FV of 40.

A FV 40 BP arm with TJ and command issues sounds about right for Garcia.

Of course that was before his last start.

I'm very interested to see what kind of improved return the board braintrust expects now that Garcias value has skyrocketed.

Nick Gordon, Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano.

Sounds reasonable.

But only if the Braves can get Garcia to sign that 3 year extension the board braintrust wants first.

That extension would send his value into the stratosphere!!!!

Who said "skyrocketed"?

If more teams now want Garcia, then Garcia's stock has risen.

More people willing to buy a $20 lawnmower doesn't change the fact that it's a $20 lawnmower. It just means more people are now willing to pay $20 for it. Someone will offer 2 10s, someone will offer a 20, and someone else will offer 20 1s. Then you get to pick which version of $20 you want.

This notion there is now going to be some sort of bidding war for Garcia that increases his value is comical.

But by all means, don't let me derail the derp-train you guys have chugging along haha.

Derpi derpi choo choooooo!

You're a moron. His value increases every time someone else calls the Braves. The more interest, the better the return. Are you really this dense?

Haha, you think there's a bidding war going on for Jaime Garcia?

Ok genius, make your prediction. What is the value of the return he will net the Braves?

He was going to be traded for a FV 40 guy with command issues.

What will he get now that is better?

Please, genius, enlighten me haha.

If teams are calling today that weren't yesterday, then Garcia's stock has risen. No one has said he's all-the-sudden gonna pull us a great prospect. If we now have choices that we didn't have yesterday, then starting him last night was obviously a good thing

There are 8 teams "calling the Braves" on Garcia. That's a helluva lot better than 1. How do you not understand this? If there's only one team, they have you by the balls. The more interest, the better the return. Jesus man. Just quit arguing for the sake of arguing.

Make a prediction genius. I assume you're smart enough to understand what a prediction is?

What is the value of the return Garcia will net the Braves now that his value has increased?

You're so smart and I'm so stupid, so educate me.

Is the argument that additional demand for the same product doesn't impact price?

That's exactly my argument. Nobody is going to bid up the price on Garcia.

If he will get a bigger return, predict how much bigger and we will see how smart you are.

We get a better prospect or at least one we like better than the twins' offer

My prediction is irrelevant in the argument. As an economic principle do you believe demand has no impact on price?
