Wilbo died?

Damn.

That guy was . . . wow. He was definitely a guy. I wish I had an archive of some of his best work in the old bbq.

Anyone who missed the Wilbo years but remembers Gatom's anti-Cox rants? Wilbo's shots at Chipper made gatom look like thethe.

I would be shocked if this was the same guy. Brule would know for sure though. Also, yes, I can verify that BraveDad was Bubba Nelson's pappy.

Wilbo was ruthless. I think he was told by Bill not to post on the main board if he wanted to avoid banning.

Gatom was like Wilbo's Scrappy Doo.

Yeah, in the dark underworld of scout trolls....which I ruled....I never heard, nor confirmed that Horsie was RNP. I've heard rumors of who it was but never was able to confirm it.

I assumed RNP was Toma and he aws just having multiple personality issues. Only reason why I don't think Horsie was RNP was they were both on the previous version of this board.
 
Don't remember Wilbo.

Gatom pm'ed me at Scout asking about you all but decided that he did not want to partake.

Gr8 is in the IT Field. I have a feeling he wants to post at a more rigid board.

IO did pass away a few years ago (before this board was in full swing) at a young age (sick, methinks cancer). We didn't see eye to eye, but he was a great debater.

IIRC the scenarios

BTBravos was from SAV, he was in contact with him and someone contacted him or he found his obituary online. MrWho's wife posted under his SN that he passed, IO someone knew him off the board and foudn his obituary which we were able to more or less confirm about what we knew about him, I don't know about Wilbo. I forget how anyone learned about TallahasseeBravo, I think it was similar to IO though, someone kenw him and found out through some means (believe an Alabama board)

I remember Wilbo posted a thread on the old board that he was having heart surgery and that if he didn't post after a certain amount of time that we should assume he didn't make it. He made it through, but if he's gone I assume its because of his heart. :(

I would assume so as well. I don't think there would ever be a person I'd be more in disagreement with than Wilbo, a full blown republican and a vegan.

I threw down with io about Jose Reyes, Ike Davis, and politics, too, but he was a fun guy to mix it up with. I came back from a hiatus and found out that he'd died. :-(

Wilbo, man. That dude was something else. He was the troll king under the bridge in the BBQ. He was genuinely ****ty and mean, but sometimes he'd post a giant wall of text that was intensely personal, and I got the sense that it was probably theraputic for him, that maybe his online sparring partners were probably meaningful to him in a way that he was unlikely to be willing to admit. If he's indeed gone, godspeed to him.
 
Gatom sent me a nice PM to say that he was done posting after I asked him to join ChopCountry. Really had nice things to say, but I think he was just tired of some of the stuff that comes along with posting on the internet. I really think he enjoyed us posters, but I think he wanted to take a Mike Adams type of route away from the internet.

Wilbo wasn't a conundrum to me. He just was who he was. He pissed me off too, but great message board personality in his own way.
 
Gatom told me he didn't want to come over, forget why, I just told him where we all were and he was more than Welcome to join in the fun.
 
I know ole Sav made a post on the main board about Mike Adams, but since I made a post about him on this forum I figured I'd bring it up again. I really think he would've loved this board.

I think he would post on this board right now if he knew about it.
