Who would have thought we'd have a 7 game division lead on September 12th. This season has gone absolutely perfectly. Literally everything major has broke our way, but not in a luck kinda way. In a player development kind of way.

Acuna despite has last few ab's today has been huge, really has carried us the last few months and that meant a ton since Freeman and Markakis have not been anything special in most of that time. Camargo and Culberson have been huge the second half too, other than Acuna they have been second and third in OPS for us the second half. Culberson filling in for Camargo these last two really were key in both wins.

Love me some TC!

Love me some Braves, too! Escapes were the name of the game today, for both teams, but a game like this well overdue for us to win. A winning west coast road trip, and now a winning team! First winning season since 2013.

The Facebook thing was okay until the 9th, when the feed cut out, right when Flowers got the GW hit. The thing I dislike the most is the comment window, but I can't go fullscreen at work so I have to stick the web browser over the right side of the screen to lose that dumb comment bar.

So Bregman has 30 homers and 50 doubles on the year. Remember someone last year arguing with me that he didn't have power.

I've always looked at a schedule in all sports, in it's not about who you play. It's when you play them.

We actually agree here, D'Backs were slumping badly and even with us choking at times they choked a lot more leading to their losing that series. Pittsburgh was struggling when we met up in Pittsburgh and we swept them, same thing with Giants this series. That said, good to get back at the Giants after they swept us at home.

Good thing they shifted Nola to face us twice. Seems to be working like I expected. Guess someone needed to tell gabe that you have to win the games leading up to our series to even make that series matter.

Not a bad move, honestly. Get as many starts from Nola as you can.

I wouldn’t say “perfectly” or “literally everything” (Soroka’s injury, Gohara’s stagnating, Allard’s demonstrating his stuff probably won’t play above Triple-A); but this season has certainly wildly esclipsed my expectations.

If Nats hold on to beat Philly and win tomorrow vs Cubs, they would be 7.5 back of us along with Philly. That said, I hope they win today and lose to Cubs tomorrow making them 8.5 back instead.

We will handle the sand fleas ourselves. Route for them to beat the baby bears.
