GDT 10/18/2020 - Game 7 vs Dodgers

Ugh. Fantastic season but the Braves led this series 3-1. I don’t care how good the Dodgers are, that’s an Atlanta choke at its finest.

Ironically the one loss I was truly ok with was game 3 and to an extent game 5. But being an offensive team we are and going down like that in game 6 and 7 is disappointing. I feel like if we lost to the Dodgers and they just outhit us but we hit the ball well I'd be more ok tipping my hat but this just felt like the pitching stepped up big time and the offense didn't get the job done. That hurts.

The Bryse Wilson game was as much fun I have ever had watching a game in my life.

It sucks that it fell apart after that, but this team gave me a lot of joy during a truly ****ty Covid year,

I hate that this is how it ended, but I’m glad it lasted this long.

Wasn't a choke. The Dodgers played well and we had awful BABIP luck.
we were up 3-1. I’m sorry for being honest. That’s choking. I can be proud of the team and pissed they flushed the season away all at once. Leaving Ian in there one batter too long and the terrible base running blunders proved costly.

Big question is do the Braves have resources to try and get a little better to matchup with LA or will they just have to hope they manage to pull a 30% chance some time.

Extending lineup depth, rebuild pen, and then consider whether you can do something for rotation.

Let's be honest. The braves squeezed as much as they could out of this team and just got overwhelmed by a better team. The no days off thing gave the Dodgers a huge advantage. It was a good year for a team that I didn't think would make it as far as they did. It's disappointing, but it's hard to grump about what this team accomplished.
