GDT 10/2/24: Braves @ Padres - WC Game 2 - Gotta Win to Survive

Told yall Olson tweaked his swing. Maybe espn can be the Braves new hitting coach since they point out things that aren’t working that apparently the Braves are too stupid to see.

I would love to have completely new guys from GM to that grounds crew guy that chip carey wanted to bang

I really don't know what any of our coaching staff actually does. I think we've just had a good roster and it lifted all boats.

Once the playoffs hit and other teams start caring enough to go all out, our hitting approach performs worse than most/all other playoff teams (and it actually just sucked all year, with signs of life few and far between), and we don't seem to try anything meaningfully different from year-to-year.

Pitching-wise, ESPN calls out how our guys are tipping pitches in multiple postseasons. Do we have anyone on staff that watches the games?

The Yankees went and hired from espn. Guess it's time we do.

ESPN announcer: Still waiting for the Braves offense to wake up.

This disgrace is being called by non-Homer announcers. It is that blatant.

On point

I'm looking at the terms of that Murphy deal...Gents AA should lose his job because of that albatross of contract. It's literally unmovable.

And the dumb Olson extension and the utterly ridiculous crap he did to get kelenic. But he did get sale, and maybe not for lack of trying, he didn't extend fried, so he has some good points for sure

My Braves fandom goes back to Milwaukee. My Dad was stationed at an Air Force Base up there and he was a huge fan of the Spahn, Burdette, Aaron, Matthews teams and he passed that loyalty down to me. Frankly, I remember very little of the details except how much Dad liked the Milwaukee Braves and the players of that era.

Yeah, I know, "cool story, bro."

Mets have blown their lead going into the 9th. Haha, at least something to salvage tonight from this annual Braves fail.
