GDT 10/2/24: Braves @ Padres - WC Game 2 - Gotta Win to Survive

It was nice of the Braves to fly across the country to scrimmage the Padres before the playoffs started.

On to 2025.

Hey, guys, we got to the playoffs with a structure of paper mache and the result, once we got there, was predictable.

Here's hoping AA makes some good moves and we replace our hitting coach. Have a great next few months and talk to y'all next spring.

Not the ending we wanted, but Braves did well to get here. Injuries, hurricane, and bad luck this year, just wasn’t meant to be. I have to tip my hat to this team though, fought until the end.

Usually I’d be upset the season is over and to an extent I am, but so glad to be done with this mess. Let’s retool this offseason and get after it next year

Perhaps this is the kick in the ass AA needs this offseason

We have alot of money invested for mediocre production at C.

We have a lot of money invested in mediocre and injury prone talent to be honest.

The trajectory that the Murphy contract will take this team is terrifying...absolutely terrifying.

With that stupid ass Soler trade, they may have to let Ozuna walk...which I'm fine with tbh.

I keep thinking back to the preseason when they traded for Sale, and all of you were rightly saying that he is obviously acquired for the postseason, that his innings would be managed so as not to wear him down before then. And of course that didn't happen, and Sale was predictably absent come postseason time.

Fried and AJSS gave up 8 of the 9 runs allowed in this series. Pen covered 12.2 and gave up 1 run. Pen game in game 1 was the move

It's crazy the Pads success considering they had to take out a $50m loan to pay salaries last season.
