Now could we maybe show some heart and make this thing a little interesting?
They need to show some damn heart and make it interesting from the 1st pitch.

I hate baseball.
The problem we have is what all of us knew but didn't want to admit. We have no #1 pitcher. None. They have 2. What does that always equal in the playoffs? NO CHANCE.
I'm assuming it reflects poorly on me, as a person, that I'm hoping Magic Johnson gives all the Dodgers rapid-onset HIV?
I understand that, and I'm still holding out hope Teheran turns into one. But right now we're also in a National League with the Cardinals and Dodgers who have legit aces. So anytime we make the playoffs, odds are we're going to have to play one of them in the NLDS, and beating them is going to be extremely tough. And the Cardinals have Miller, Wacha, and Carlos Martinez on the way. So even when Wainwright starts to slow down, odds are the Cardinals will still have at least one true/legit ace in one of one or two of those three. Haven't seen enough of Martinez to really say, but Miller at least looked great at home and Wacha looked really good in his limited time in the bigs.Aces don't just grow on trees.
