GDT 10/7/23: Braves vs Philthies - NLDS Game 1

You can talk about the bad BABIP luck or Turner‘s great play. But the bigger theme is once again lack of plate discipline. Olson should have taken his walk to load the bases. Ozzie should not swing at these pitches well below the zone. That’s the difference between these offenses. Phillies realize when the pitcher is in trouble. Braves don’t

It’s crazy how the Phillies are suddenly so good in all phases the second they get to the playoffs. Seriously, that’s insanely impressive.

Braves care about exit velocity and long hrs. Those win in regular season, but fighting through PA and hitting the other way wins in playoffs

Dude that was a hell of a play from Turner. You have to appreciate that. They'll prob win it this year

Pitching delivered, some weird sh*t in the game, but overall pitching delivered.

Not even going down the road of choking or what the rationale was - just an underwhelming offensive effort. Couple balls hit hard that didn't go our way, but honestly not that many...just a bad offensive effort

2 of the 3 Phillies runs tonight due to Braves’ errors too. Just a really poor game from everyone except for Strider (aside from the error on the pickoff).

They're choking. It's ok to call a spade a spade

Welp, onto Game 2. I did not expect to see the team lay down, but they most definitely did. Aside from Strider and Arcia, everyone else was pile of Doodoo.
