GDT 11/2/21: Braves @ Astros - World Series Game 6

I don't see any possibility the Braves non-tender Swanson in the wake of a World Series win.

They weren't going to anyway.

Unless they're pushing chips in on Corey Seagar I don't see what the point ever would have been.
 
I also need to be one of those who eat crow. I gave up on the season well before the all star break. with all the injuries, under performance, the bullpen being trash, and just inconsistent play, I felt we had no shot at making the playoffs and if we did, it was going to be a nothing burger. I was mad at AA for not building a better team from the get go. With all that said, I was there every night checking in on my team from my childhood. Watching when I could.. listening on the radio when I could or just catching up on every GDT. And now we finally won the last game of the year.
 
anyone wanna do me a huge favor and grab me the all blue fitted hat with the world series patch on it from a local store and send it to me? i’ll throw some extra cash at you

i genuinely think a team-friendly deal is more likely than a non-tender. he just doesn’t seem like he wants to go anywhere else.
 
Looked like Fried mixed in the 4 seamer and sinker last night... more 4 seamer use than I remember. Really kept folks off the Curve and change. Man he was DOMINANT

I could see a series of moves where they miss out on Freeman, sign Seager, and move Riley to 1B or trade Swanson.

Not likely, but there’s a non-zero chance.

Even more so after last nite. This off season depends totally on what FF does (or does not do).

PS--Lonnie would have had four rings instead of three if he had followed the ball and not looked at Chuck Knoblauch in the seventh game in 1991.

Freeman slashed 304/440/625 with 5 bombs in the 2021 Playoffs.

Going back to the NLCS last year. That's 5 straight playoff series where Freeman has racked and hit a bomb. Maybe he's figuring this playoff thing out.
 
I don't see how Freeman isn't back.

The two sides will get it done.

Freeman will be paid handsomely and the Braves won't be left holding the bag 5 years down the road.

Next year is going to be a such a big blow out of projections.

The year after a world series is always a monster ticket year.

And the battery is still developing!!!
