Ehh. Coup by definition includes violence. No one was accusing Dems of a coup when they were begging the electoral college electors to go faithless in 2017 and pick Hillary. No one even accused the electors that followed through on that of committing a coup.

Subverting the will of the people and the electoral system? Sure. Yellow bellied shyster lawyering? Absolutely. Dirty, scoundrel...there are lots of accurate and uncomplimentary words for it. Coup is not among them.

Just pointing out your definition of a coup was not correct. And if you don't think the threat of martial law constitutes the threat of violence, I don't know what to tell you. I never supported riots, violence, and arson so you shouldn't be talking to me about that.
 
If Trump threatened martial law over the election results then I agree, but I missed that.
 
President Donald Trump's nominee to become a senior Pentagon official spread debunked conspiracies on Twitter that called Trump's election loss to Joe Biden a "coup" attempt and shared tweets that suggest Trump should declare martial law.

On December 2, he retweeted an account that shared an article that said former national security adviser Michael Flynn had shared a petition that called for martial law. He then retweeted the same account which suggested that Trump should declare martial law.

"I don't know who needs to hear this," the account said, "But calling for martial law is not a bad idea when there is an attempted coup against the president and this country happening right now."

The tweet references a petition Flynn shared on Twitter calling for Trump to declare martial law and order a new presidential election. The petition falsely called November's presidential election "fraudulent" and called on Trump to have the military oversee a new election.

This plot goes all the way back to the first meeting between George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Bill Clinton, and Queen Victoria. They had David Blaine disguise suitcases as bins, and he conspired with Aleister Crowley to get dead people from hell to vote.
