We should always be extremely hesitant to bring anyone up on treason charges. In most cases just the related charges would get a very severe punishment. The more I hear the more the charges fit though. The more I hear the more I am convinced this was a real organized attempt to overthrow Democracy. There are several different categories I would put the people involved in, those who actively incited this the attack with fake news propogana and helped organize the attack, those who used tried to use this for financial and/or political gain, the useful idiot, and the seriously mentally ill who legitimately cant tell the difference from reality and fiction.

Wouldn't maps be publicly available? I might be wrong but seems to me with the Capitol being a tourist attraction and so many people going to visit their congressman, maps would be readily available.

If there is a non-public map, it would hardly be top secret. Thousands of people work in the building, new people are coming on all the time, they'd need to know where things are.

If there is a secret map and members of the house were helping these idiots, by all means toss them in jail. It just doesn't make a ton of sense right now.

The House must as an immediate step pass a domestic terrorism statute,

with a focus on white supremacist terrorism, and send it to the Senate.

As the Vice Chair of the Oversight subcommittee who ran investigations into domestic terror laws, I respectfully disagree.

Our problems on Wednesday weren’t that there weren’t enough laws, resources, or intelligence. We had them, & they were not used.

It’s time to find out why.

I know we've been talking about the insurrection the last few days, but I would highly suggest anyone to listen to the entire hour for some great laughs.

They have to explain to him that the overseas vote isn't just military votes, and that it includes citizens living abroad.

Trump goes on a rant about citizens who voted that left Georgia, came back and voted. THey had to explain to him that these people did'nt just leave last month, come back and vote in Georgia and then they're leaving, they moved away years ago, came back and re-established residency and were legally allowed to vote. Trump says "who does that?"

The incoherence out of his mouth is amazing, and people still think he's some economic genius and knows what he's been doing the last 4 years.
 
Does the demagogue really have an army who is ready to die for him? I've heard the number 15 million, upwards of 20% of his supporters who think he was robbed of his re-election, which is a total lie.

Those 5 deaths and the vandalism at the Capitol are all on him, as well as any violence at the Inauguration.

Capitol Police said that Angeli had called the FBI on Thursday and confirmed he was the man in the photos, according to a Capitol Police arrest affidavit obtained by The Washington Post. The document stated that Angeli said he had traveled to Washington “with other ‘patriots’ from Arizona, at the request of the President that all ‘patriots’ come to D.C. on January 6, 2021.”
