GDT: 4/11 Braves vs Red: Braves Need to Get Albies Wright

Albies is just falling further and further down the lineup.

His OSwing% of 40.6% ranks 11th worst out of 194 qualified hitters.

His Zone% of 44.5% ranks 23rd worst out of 194 qualified hitetrs.

Most players that see fewer strikes than Ozzie are known sluggers pitchers are afraid of. Ozzie is seeing fewer strikes because pitchers know he will swing at crap. He was trending this way last year even when he was healthy, and it's only gotten worse in 2023. Albies is completely lost at the plate right now. And moving his back foot so far inside he is basically standing on the plate in some odd attempt at covering 6" off the outside edge isn't going to help.
 
It's just an odd turn for a guy who came up with elite bat control. He clearly fell in love with hitting homers when the ball was juiced and has made little to no effort adjusting back.
 
Wasn’t looking at the screen when Olson hit that ball and immediately looked up after the sound of that one.
