If you are at all curious why strikeouts and groundouts are so highly valued, take a good look at Folty tonight. He was able to pitch in and out of trouble all night because of those two things.

This may sound cruel, but given Sam’s older age, as long as he’s effective in these outings it isn’t bad managing to keep throwing him out there.
