GDT: 4/17 Braves @ Padres: Return to Maximum Effort

Talking about GB and K rates as if they have stabilized while claiming the “cherry picked” batted ball stats are meaningless because they haven’t yet stabilized is perhaps the most comical bit of analysis hypocrisy I’ve seen in quite some time.

Again, he is running a BABIP of .040. No offensive player currently on the roster is better and being blocked by him, and that won’t change until all of TDA, Harris and Arcia are back. At that point the argument becomes Rosario vs Ozuna.

Is Ozuna Derangement Syndrome a thing?

My point was people comically posting saber stats to paint him to be good. Career high BB rate. Well here is his career high K rate. Career high line drive rate. Oh here is his career high ground ball rate. It is comical but of analysis I have seen. We have 2 years of a declining player who is not going to ‘find’ it regardless of what stat someone posts. His babip sucks probably because he tapping balls all over the infield and backspins balls that die in the outfield because he chops at the ball to make sure he knocks the **** out of the catcher. He is a useless piece of ****. He has one tool and he can’t do that. Every other guy on this team can at least run or field or not beat women. So defend away man. You can start the I love nozuna tan club.

I’ve seen y’all mention this some, but who goes down / away to make room for him?

Seems like Danny Young would be the most logical of the current bullpen. Unless there’s another lingering injury that they want to IL someone else.

man oh man.. none of that represents who he is.. you left out the career high in K rate. and career high in GB rate... all that and we are talking about 27 events for all of that.. so 1 line drive is going to skew the numbers just like 1 pop up will.. But what we do know is he sucks and has sucked for 2 years... some cherry picked saber stats based on 27 events isn't going to fool anyone.

The stats I shared factor in k rate and GB rate so I’m not ignoring them just to make a point.

Ultimately the choice is should we give at bats to Ozuna or Eli White or Kevin Pillar. I don’t think it’s indefensible to prefer Ozuna.

This offense is something else. Just ripping the cover off the ball this year

Ha. Just put up the exit velocity stat. Wow.
