GDT 4-24: Strider is the STOPPER.

My favorite part of watching Spencer work, is you can see the meticulous problem solver he is on the mound. He prides himself on studying the analytics of his own mechanics and repertoire.

When you watch him pitch you can see him thinking and adapting in real time during an at-bat.

If he figures out a changeup... sheesh.

#Braves’ Raisel Iglesias will throw again Thursday, either live batting practice or a minor league rehab game. Michael Harris II being evaluated after full workout yesterday, to decide when he’s ready for a rehab assignment.

Ladies...we are getting close to being back to full health.

I agree. I was a little nervous on the extension given he seemed to rely so much on the Fastball being elite.

At the time I said that the Braves must feel very good about the make up here. He clearly is very thoughtful and disciplined in his diet, training, planning etc. You have to think a guy like that will find something that works for a third pitch as the FB dips.

Still think it is crazy how quickly he went from a mid round pick to an impact starter.

Or he could be like Verlander and still have high 90's stuff into his late 30's.

I mean Charlie is almost 40 and can still touch 97.

I'm not convinced Strider is done developing. We've seen guys producing at elite levels like him add something like a changeup before. If he could polish a third pitch to just average it would make him stay lethal when is fastball isn't plus plus plus.
