We had rain, some times very heavy, down here in S. Georgia all day with some high wind. Just saw picture of hail on ground at the park. Thought the game would be postponed. Wondered about game tomorrow and the Geico 500 race at Talladega.
 
I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that Flowers went from being a perfectly acceptable MLB backup catcher to completely out of baseball over the course of a few months. Meanwhile, the Braves are giving PAs to Alex Jackson.

Agreed. Seems like backup catcher has the longest lifespan. Wonder if the arm isn’t even competitive back there anymore ?

Shane greene doesn't have a job either. Perhaps Shane and Tyler feel they're worth a certain amount, and they won't play for less than that amount

BTW, when will we have enough of a sample to see Jackson's framing stats?
