GDT 4/28/21: Cubs vs Braves - Ynoa keeps it going

If ynoa is a only a two pitch guy he seems like he could be a really good fifth starter. A guy you move to the pen in the playoffs.

He’d be so valuable if he just locks down the fifth starter.

We could have a cheap 5 in ynoa. Cheap 2/3 in Anderson. Relatively cheap 2/3 in soroka and fried. That would set us up for some great resource allocation.

He’s a good live fastball when he’s locating it properly...he throws his slider two different ways...the traditional sweeper and short tighy spin bottom dropper...and he’s slowly developing his change up...he’s going to be a good one.

The homer earlier was great but it’s a little insane how non-competitive Ozuna’s at-bats are. Pitchers are feeding him fastballs down the middle and he’s swinging through them. I hope he gets right soon.

It's interesting because most on here including myself were already ready to give up on him after his start to the season. Enscheff was the one who preached waiting until the end of May.

I preach the same thing for every single player. Predictive skills are predictive, so I use them to predict future performance. I don’t allow silly small sample nonsense to influence my views.

Ozzie adds another HR to Breves total.

The Braves are quietly erasing the -6 run differential in their move to .500

In case anyone is curious...Since our last series with the Marlins where Adam Duvall destroyed us...he is 4 for his last 41 (.097) with 0 BB and 18 Ks
