GDT 4/28 @ BOS - Chacin the Dream

Good news, Chacin looks like he's getting his old velocity back. He's hit 92 mph repeatedly and even 93 mph tonight. Now that he has that good cutter too, if he gets his old velo back and maintains it, then he can be better than he was before hand and he was very good.

That was a bad hanging slider there and bad defense not cutting it off allow Hanley to take second.

Chacin also hit 94 mph at least one pitch this inning, so that's a good sign IMO. He might have to get use to that extra velo again if he gets it all back.

An average high school catcher would have no trouble with the popups that AJ is dropping left and right.

He has three recent drops or total misses, it's like blind man bad and all these balls popping off and straight out of his glove catching suggests he isn't seeing the ball aright. Not to mention the first two losses due to one a miss on a great throw to him by Inciarte and another good throw from Freeman he totally missed.

I said this in another Forum.. but now that AJ has his 2000 hit.. lets just keep him as the back up and test Flowers out more. I am not saying he is the next Molina.. but AJ is just bad all around.. he is embarrassing himself at this point..

Fredi would never challenge this, Smith was clearly safe but just goes to show how different good teams do with their challenges.

I can see why they challenged it, but he should be safe IMO.

Are you kidding me? That wasn't clear enough! Bull****...

They have ruled against us calls much clearer than that, what a joke.
